This project explores the balance between functionality and aesthetics in food presentation by redesigning a standard plastic cupcake stand into a polished, versatile household accessory. The original design—a central spine supporting three circular trays—was practical but lacked sophistication and adaptability.
Using oak wood for its durability and chic appeal, I replaced the central spine with side supports, opening up the central area for greater storage flexibility. Removable magnetic dividers were added to the trays, allowing for organized storage of small items like candies and snacks.
The result is a multipurpose stand that combines elegance with practicality, transforming an overlooked household object into a refined and adaptable centerpiece.
