Legotype

This was a Modular Type Design project where we used LEGO bricks to develop letterform compositions, focusing on the formal characteristics of a letter, working within the restricted grid system of the base plate. We created letters, words and compositions using specific LEGO bricks, then printed them with a mini letterpress on different materials like paper, newspaper, tissues, and fabric. Further, worked on a larger letterpress for legotype printing being a unique combination in itself given that these machines are generally used for metal type prints.
